Worry is a tension producing exercise many of us indulge in. Using imagery in a negative way, we foresee all the negative possibilities that may occur. More often than not, our "awfulizing" is just a figment of our imagination, that never takes place. It takes its toll on the body. Any imagined event electrically fires up the muscles needed to perform it. And so, tension builds up.

Every image has a reaction in the body, be it the release of stress hormones, or other chemical cocktail, which initiate the flight/fight or the relaxation response. All seemed to be played according to the scripts we run in our heads.
