In order to find the best nutritional program for my clients, I use the ideas found in Dr. Weston Price's book "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration", which led to "Metabolic Typing". Depending on how people proceed with the program, I add "Blood Typing" and "Brain Chemitry Diet" to further individualize nutritional needs.
I also use a computerized program, called Diet Therapy, which helps me to quickly and effectively develop a nutritional program.
What is Diet Therapy?
"Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.”
-Hippocrates, 400 BC
The top ten causes of death, excluding medical malpractice, accidents and suicides, can be attributed solely to eating habits. These fatal conditions can all be prevented or treated exclusively with Diet Therapy, which uses food and structured diet to treat disease and improve or maintain health. No other therapy can make this claim.
Diet Therapy is the oldest known form of medicine. Ancient cultures around the world, from the Indians to the Chinese, believed in the healing power of food. These cultures provided the foundation of Western medicine. Unfortunately, this medicinal knowledge has been lost. Today, we no longer take advantage of food to achieve healing and wellness.
The Problem
To be effective, and to truly have clinical value, a therapeutic diet should consider a multitude of factors, such as:
- diagnosed conditions
- sub-clinical symptomatology
- blood type
- body type
- autonomic type (neuro-endocrine)
- oxidation rate (glycolysis, beta oxidation, Krebs)
|
- allergies
- intolerances
- micro-nutrient imbalances
- macro-nutrient ratios
- ideal weight
- lifestyle factors
|
While food is the foundation of health and healing, most physicians no longer have the time, expertise, or resources to design simple therapeutic diets, much less consider these many variables.
The Solution
With the many interrelating and varying parameters that define each patient’s biochemical individuality, only a computer can process such extensive information and create the correct diet for a particular individual.
